Arrowstreet was asked by the Massachusetts Port Authority to design a conference facility that would command its waterfront site and inspire its visitors to partake in the vitality of maritime trade opportunities. Programmed to market its port services on a business-to-business basis, MassPort’s collaborative intent with the Commonwealth’s business community to provide hosting, gathering and training spaces has worked with great success.
The perennial challenge of integrating modern environmental systems into an historic structure was deftly handled by Julie Jones, team leader on the project. The Fish Exchange’s original grandness dominates the streamlined interventions required by presentation technologies, rear screen projectors, videoconferencing and board rooms. |
