HAEGER LAKE HOUSE
We converted a one bedroom hunter’s cabin into a two-story five-bedroom, four bath home with generous entertainment spaces, a cozy study and a four car garage for the members of a young Chicago family who devoted their summers and weekends to sporting activities on a rural lakefront. At the request of the parents, bedrooms were gathered into a wing that could be closed off from the large public rooms. Doing so was a considerable foresight, because this house was soon to become the beloved party place for the area’s competitive sailboat racers and young traders on the Chicago Exchange. |
